As women, we face unique challenges along our mental health journey that are specific to women, as we experience them from a different perspective. Women tend to put others’ needs ahead of their own, pushing through whatever is affecting their emotional wellness, and attempting to mask their struggles to protect their loved ones. This often prevents women from seeking counseling to resolve their own issues.

Women may struggle at various times in their lives. I specialize in helping women navigate:

·       Anxiety

·       Depression

·       Healthy Boundaries

·       Emotion Regulation

Women face unique challenges in their various roles and around the life choices they face. I specifically work with women who may encounter struggles with:

  • Relationship Skills

  • Coping Strategies

  • Parenting

  • Infertility

Women are not immune to trauma and stress in their lives. I’m very passionate about walking alongside my clients through their journey of healing as it relates to:

  • Trauma

  • PTSD

  • Domestic Violence

Creating a close client/therapist bond is critical to emotional healing and leads to a better therapeutic outcome in the long run. Choosing a female counselor who is well-versed in women’s issues can help facilitate that bond, since women are likely to connect better with another woman who can more easily relate to her perspective. Mental health can feel challenging in general, but for women, it can be especially daunting, making a women’s therapist a valuable resource.

“Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.”

-Brene’ Brown

When it comes to relationships, I have worked with women who have experienced a vast array of issues, including:

  • Divorce

  • Sexism

  • Career Concerns
